Wart's ab, 2024, oil and acrylic on canvas 100 x 120 cm, 13.200 Euro
“Wart's ab!” revisits the motif of the Sphinx, its patience and cunning. The artist combines a dog's body (a Dalmatian) with a female head, which we have already seen with this winged headdress in the work of the Flemish artist Rogier van der Weyden (around 1440). She uses the composition for a painterly demonstration of power – portraiture, animal anatomy, textures, and abstract background are brilliantly mastered.

I am interested in this work of art.
