Harald Reiner Gratz

In the German vernacular there is a beautiful term called Kopfkino, which means the imagination runs wild often boundless and unrestrained. Harald Reiner Gratz is the grand master of congealing the kopfkino. On an empty canvas he paints rapid random brushstrokes, forming loose compositions slowly revealing the skeleton of his stories. He creates new worlds, where often the compositions are interlocking together like the clogs of clockwork, mechanics working as one yet are simultaneously propelling in opposite directions - clockwork with many complications.
