We are delighted to let you know that Emily Allchurch is going to display two works in the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London this year.
In Room VII, she shows her Archival C-type print of Sic Transit Gloria Mundi (after Piranesi) (2016) and in Room IX the launch of her companion piece to 'Grand Tour: In Search of Soane (after Gandy)' from 2012. This latest piece Grand Tour II: Homage to Soane (after Gandy) (2017) presents Sir John Soane's 'unbuilt' projects as though they had in fact been built - assembled from extant neoclassical architecture photographed around the UK, and placed in an Arcadian landscape setting... Both works will form part of a solo exhibition at the Sir John Soane's Museum in London from 9 May - 22 July 2018.
