Wieland Payer, "Blossom" Pricelist
On the occasion of my last exhibition in Erfurt, I dealt intensively with the forest floor still lifes of the old Dutch, especially Otto Marseus van Schrieck. In my further research in the National Gallery, London and the Galerie Alte Meister, Dresden, I was also fascinated by the lush, almost forest-like, densely staged flower still lifes, especially by Rachel Ruysch and Jan van Huysum. I was interested in the moving compositions, the strong light - dark contrast and the eerie yet seductive mood of these perfectly painted flowers, leaves, grasses and insects emerging from the darkness.
The idea arose to combine these models with a new color scheme of the pastel and to stage it spherically in a virtual light. The second thought was to set the lush splendor of the models in motion with impulsive compositions. The flowers take on rocket-like shapes and futuristic dynamics are set in motion. The special luminosity of the pastel and its fascinating materiality come in harmony with the texture and color of the motifs. The mixed technique of pastel and watercolor combines a drawing approach with a painterly result.

Moritz Götze Bernburger enamel art film
Bible words you can touch
A film by Uwe Dieckhoff
The St. Aegidien Castle Church is one of the striking buildings in the city of Bernburg (Saale). The church dates from the 12th century. In 1751-52 the nave of the old Romanesque church was rebuilt in the baroque style, later changed several times and finally stripped of almost all jewelry. The church has been renovated since 2013.
Moritz Götze was entrusted with the artistic redesign. His pictorial program is based on Genesis and the New Testament. It covers the vaulted ceiling, the base zones of the walls and the altar. Götze decided on a permanent enamel painting. With this extremely complex technique, layers of mineral paints are used to paint metal plates and each layer is burned at 800 degrees. The colors melt into a glaze on the metal, cover it and preserve it for eternity. Then the emails are fixed precisely on the walls.
The barrel vault was completed in 2013 - clouds and stars on a blue background. The furnishing of the south and north walls of the eastern nave began in 2014, followed by the artistic redesign of the altar wall in 2015. The new altar was also inaugurated with a festive service on Easter Sunday 2016. The work continues continuously.

Dana Meyer I Catalog Kerber
Dana Meyer I Sculptures
Dana Meyer's (* 1982) sculptures have a timeless sovereignty. Her way of working is how bold your virtuoso is, for whom she forges her works freehand from steel without preparatory work or models. Her sculptural works are exciting, powerful and dynamic. Meyer shows against animals and people, individually, in groups, sometimes fragmented, but always haunting in the statement, realistic and expressive. Meyer recognizes interpersonal and animal figures as a partly metaphorical, partly portrait-like "physical affinity", which abolishes the clearly drawn boundaries between the two.

Graceful, naked female bodies, dancing or floating in erotic poses through unreal worlds. With dreamy, blissfully smiling or ecstatic faces, agile young people loll around on cushions, sometimes alone, sometimes as a group in atmospherically illuminated landscape scenes. The oil paintings by Nguyen Xuan Huy, painted in the manner of the old masters, are immediately overwhelming in their beauty. And they are disturbing - because the deceptive appearance quickly reveals itself and changes the mood: twisted or crippled limbs are noticed and threatening details such as machine guns, chicken wings or socialist symbols lurk everywhere. His identity is directly linked to the Vietnam War as the fundamental trauma of his origins. The consequences of the defoliant Agent Orange used by the US Army, which to this day causes numerous deformities, are just as central to his works as the socialist ideology with which he grew up in the communist country. Since 1994, Nguyen Xuan Huy has had his permanent residence in Germany and especially the perspective from the outside enabled him to artistically deal with the propaganda which, as he says, made him believe in a naive worldview of good and bad for a long time. In addition, there is an interested look in the other direction - at the tradition of Europe. Western art history inspired the painter at an early age, as can be seen in many quotes and allusions as well as his realistic, sensual way of depicting the human body. The mixing of these very different backgrounds led Nguyen Xuan Huy to see the many images in his head, despite all opposites to visually intertwine in large-scale fictions. Various set pieces from reality, ambiguous and puzzling moments of action and eerie, often dodgy atmospheres create a surreal world in which the logic of everyday life is undermined. While the usual boundaries are broken, dream and nightmare merge symbiotically. With Nguyen Xuan Huy, the Jena Art Collection presents fascinatingly sensual painting, which provokes emotional and intellectual reactions and demonstrates how the attractive and the repulsive can stimulate each other.
